What is it ?
Access control systems are solutions that allow the tracking, restriction and guarantee of transit paths, automating internal circulation. These can be of two types: traditional systems, which have a control panel and provide security for a limited number of people, and IP and network-based systems, which use cloud technologies to allow access to the building and ensure control of various safety functions.
The main components of an access control system include :
Proximity card readers: These are the most used access readers used at the moment .
Biometric Readers: There are fingerprint, iris, palm, facial and voice scanning biometric readers 1 .
Cards/cards: They can be magnetic or proximity, printable or not .
Electromagnetic locks: Most systems allow connection to a PC running this access control software .
User access management software: Enables user management and administration .
